Allergy, otherwise known as an allergic reaction is a medical condition that can have serious repercussions. Allergy affects every single cell and tissue in the body and may be brought on by exposure to some substances or allergen. Some common allergens include pet dander, dust, pollen, and many forms of food.
Allergy
medicine in India includes three major forms. Allergy-C, which is an advanced
form of allergy medicine that works wonders for people suffering from allergic
problems. Allergy C treats all kinds of allergies, using various scientific
approaches such as viral integration, cell activation, and genetic engineering.
It also uses alternative and Complementary Medicine.
Allergy-Ds
is an abbreviation of Dene-Dry-Allergy which is another advanced form of
medication that treats all types of allergies. The main ingredients are Glucose
and Leptospirosis. This medication is generally used in conjunction with
another form of medication such as Allergy-C. The most common dosage is two
capsules twice daily.
Another form
of medication used in allergy treatment (allergy ka ilaj) is Allergy-HC. This medication can be
taken once in the morning and again before bedtime. Some of the ingredients in
this medication include Glucose, Fungi Heliocarpum, and Oleuropein. The person
taking allergy-HC should avoid any exposure to allergens. It is advised to
check with one's doctor before starting allergy treatment as allergy-HC is an
experimental drug.
Other forms
of allergy medicines used in allergy treatment include: I) Humira - an oral
antihistamine, ii) Atrovent - an inhalable medication used to treat allergies,
iii) Atrovent 2 - an inhalable medication used in combination with the
previously mentioned allergy-HC, iv) Maxalt - an antihistamine, and v) Medrol -
a nasal corticosteroid. Maxalt is usually recommended for short term relief of
seasonal symptoms and allergies, while Medrol is recommended for maintenance
treatment. Atrovent and Humira have not been studied in humans yet. However,
Atrovent has been used in animals, which is not known to be harmful.
There are
various ways in which allergy-managed medicines can be used. These include a)
Homeopathy: this is the use of herbal, plant, or mineral medicines as a form of
allergy treatment. b) Vitamin/Mineral Supplements: these are usually taken in
tablet or liquid form, depending upon the reaction level of the person. c)
Topical: This is the administration of medications directly into the skin,
which is usually very effective in treating allergy symptoms. d) Hypnosis: this
treatment is based on the belief that the subconscious has a greater role in
regulating allergic reactions.
Allergy-managed
medication is usually effective and has minimal side effects. However,
prolonged use of these medicines may result in increased sensitivity to
allergens. People who suffer from allergies should regularly monitor their immune
systems, as poor nutrition and stress can weaken immunity. They should take
vitamin and mineral supplements to make sure their immune systems stay strong.
It is important to know what triggers your allergy symptoms so that you can
avoid these allergens.
There are
many things that trigger your allergy symptoms. Some of the common allergy
triggers are dust, pollen, mold, pet dander, household cleaners, and coffee. If
you have a severe allergy, you should consult with a doctor to find out the
right medicine suited for your type of allergy. You may need to take several medications
to get rid of allergies. You should avoid the allergen to minimize your symptoms.
One thing
that you should remember before taking any allergy medication is that it takes
some time to start working. You have to take this medication for several months
to several years. The medication can either be in tablet form or in a spray
bottle. These allergy medications are used as immunizers or in combination with
other medications. The aim of using these medicines is to slow down the
allergen's movement so you can prevent the allergy symptoms from occurring.
Immune boosting products such as Allergy treatment (allergy ka ilaj) are used to boost your immune system and improve your overall health. They can also prevent allergies from coming back again. These Immune boosting products are generally used to relieve symptoms of allergies and reduce the frequency of flare-ups. They can also be used to prevent allergies if taken as directed. Your doctor will prescribe these Immune boosting products depending on how bad your allergies are and how often they occur.
There are
different ways to take allergy medications such as in a nasal spray, a pill or
as an injection. Each one has its own way of working but the overall goal of
these medications is to keep your body safe from allergic reactions. You should
know that just because a certain medication makes your symptoms go away doesn't
mean that you will no longer have the allergy. Your medication will only work
on the problem areas. If you have recurring symptoms, you should consult your
doctor about changing your medication or increasing your daily dose.
